(there are some mistakes here. =-= but I'll get this done eventually)
Saia, daughter of Astor and Elshara Hyral and older twin sister to Gin Hyral, was always a happy and playful girl, even in the hardest of times.
Age 5 - 10
At age 5 up until the age of 10(even while on Merchant business), Saia was taught swordsmanship and fencing by her father Astor, in private, and usually without Gin around. The two were also taught basic reading and writing, which Saia very much disliked.
Astor did not want Saia to be a typical weak Damsel in distress, and knowing Gin would become stronger on his own as he grew up, he put more effort into making Saia a perfect and unstopable lady knight, like those told in old legends. Saia was far from perfect though, because she couldn't grasp all the knowledge her father randomly threw at her.
Astor often lost his patience, causing him to yell, making Saia cry. Although he was a gentle and very loving father, it was very rare to have training without any scolding. This was a reason why Saia always cried to Redford, so her father would not call her weak and make training even more difficult.
But because of this training, Saia became emotionally stronger and chivalrous; though that didn't stop her from being a little devilish troublemaker. Astor didn't mind her being her being a brat, as long as she did what she was supposed to do.
Age 10
When Elshara and Astor separated, Astor had taken both Gin and Saia to Artolia, still continuing the training. Saia was too excited to think much of it, because she saw this like a trip to another city, but it wasn't what she expected. Astor had a sudden negative personality change, and Saia did not know the reason, until Gin told her the reason Astor became a bitter man. The reason was because Astor thought Elshara left Astor for Redford.
Astor had power in Artolia and the Artolian army, he had Saia join as a Page for about a month. With his "power of influence", he later had Saia become a Squire to a recently Knighted fellow, the youngest son to the Tengoku Household, Tengoku Yasuo(Age 17). Yasuo gladly accepted because he knew the Hyrals were a well known and respected family who served the Tengoku merchant clan of Solde and Dipan. (and other reasons unknown.)
Training was more difficult than it had been with Astor, yet Saia loved serving her Knight Master, Lord Yasuo. She learned a lot from Lord Yasuo, who was responsible for her love for Oriental* weaponry and clothing.
Saia's time with Yasuo and Artolia only lasted for about a year and a few months, until Saia was taken back by Redford. Saia did not object Redford, because deep down she just wanted to return home.
She was so happy to finally be able to go home, but was broken hearted because her younger brother Gin did not make it out.
She always blamed herself for that.
The last she heard from Gin was that he was to become the future Commander to the Artolian Army.
Even though Redford Chamberlain isn't her real father, she still loves him the most in the world, aside from Gin and Elshara. Thanks to Redford's kind support as her father and mother figure, Saia was able to overcome many difficult obstacles, such as the fear she felt for her real Father Astor and his sudden cruelty, who soonafter treated her family, mostly her younger twin brother Gin, like vermin. Because of all the events they went through, she blames herself for not being able to protect her younger twin and not being strong enough for her mother.
(Age 15)
Even after all her training with Astor and Lord Yasuo, Saia felt she was still "too weak" to protect anyone, Saia demanded of Redford give her further training. He did comply and taught her simple things she obviously already knew, and nothing more.
She knew Redford wouldn't train her properly, because she was a girl and because he did not want her to suffer any further.
But, because Saia is apparently a stubborn and arrogant little brat who always gets things her way, she went against Redford's wishes and sought out someone to properly train her.
That is when she remembered that her childhood friend, Mackwell Almhrist had a Knight for a father.
She met Lord Wesley Almhrist.
In order to keep up with Gin and to save him from Astor, Saia along with Maxwell, endured the hard training from her new master, Lord Wesley.
As time passed, she progressed, and she eventually got used to the training.
